Dogs for Adoption
I encouage everyone that purchases a puppy from us that if their situation changes and they are no longer able to provide a home for their dog, to please contact us. Many people may move, have children, buy a new home, have an unexpected death, etc. We cannot forsee the future, but our dogs depend on us to provide them love and care.

| Rio is a 7-year-old neutered male Chessie born at Donway Kennel. He is the offspring of Jake and Jasmine. He was purchased from the kennel by a loving family, with whom he has lived with since then, and who created this post with a heavy heart. At 100 pounds, Rio is a large, lean, and long-legged Chesapeake. He is physically healthy and fit, extremely smart, energetic, and perceptive. He is sensitive to all goings on around him and eager to please. Rio's hunting abilities are untested but could well be outstanding, given these qualities. Rio's owners believe that he needs more physical and mental stimulation than they can currently provide. Rio's ideal environment is one where he has considerable time and space outside and off-leash. In this environment, with loving and firm discipline, Rio will thrive and make a great companion. |
